Minerals & Nutrition > Sea Water

The ocean contains a unique balance of minerals and trace minerals. The balance of minerals is said to be very similar to human blood plasma.

It has been observed that wild animals when ill, will regularly drink small amounts of sea water and sample other saline deposits. Farmers regularly give stock salt licks which help to create health.

Indigenous peoples also have used the ocean water as a medicine and even in modern times there have been reports of individuals restoring health through drinking up to one third of a cup of sea water daily.

More than this may cause diarrhea. The water needs to be clean and free of human and animal contaminants, to achieve this it can be filtered through a fine gauze.

Advantages? it is free if you live near an ocean.
Dangers; sea water near our cities is often polluted by sewerage and industrial wastes making the water toxic.
