Yoga is perhaps the oldest
science of man. As we know not, how long we have been
walking the earth, it seems reasonable to presume
that like us modem people, mankind has always had a
healthy self interest.
And it is out of this self interest, self observation and study that the
systems of the human body, mind and consciousness were mapped out, that yoga
exercises developed which directly improves primary health and fitness and helps
to harness the powers of the mind.
From this we now have a
multitude of systems about the body, mind and our
ways of being that can be utilised to enhance our
lives today. Many physiotherapies, pilates, and exercise systems have been
adapted from yoga exercise.
Yoga is a progressive science,
within the science of Hatha Yoga, which is generally
considered to be more about the physical body, the
findings of modern anatomy and physiology have been
incorporated into the exercise programs to increase
their effectiveness.
Briefly put, yoga is a system
of systems which when applied, creates better health,
fitness, power of mind and concentration and provides
ways to be more effective in life.
